In the last days, Christine Nguyen shared a post on her social networks, making some revelations about his real age and the actual status of acting career.
I’ve never really told my story because I have never really wanted anybody to know how old I am because I used to be a model and an actor, and these are industries enamored with the beauty of youth. I am originally from Houston and came out to Los Angeles after law school. I was 28 at this time, but I looked like I was 18. I still had the baby fat and I was very green as far as social skills, knowledge about beauty and glamour, and life experience in general, because I was very sheltered until I left Houston.
Fast forward three years and now I have transitioned out of the firms and I am a full-time model and my acting career has started to bloom. At this point I am way into my 30s but I am auditioning and going on model calls that are basically looking for teenagers or 20-somethings. If they didn’t ask my age, I didn’t bring it up. I’ll just say this, I was 27 for over 15 years.
Christine revealed the pandemic put her to make a decision about her life and great changes:
COVID was a huge factor in my change of attitude as well. The entertainment industry shut down and this helped me make my mind up. It was time to reinvent myself. My former life was based solely on my looks and my ability to be entertaining. Now it was time for me to put my skills to work.
Thus, I found myself back in the law firm. But there is still a fire that burns deep down in my soul to do what I love. So this is where my story takes an intermission as I work on the next pages of my life.
I work in a law firm (stability) and I am a private chef (food is my passion). One of these days, I hope that my passion also becomes my stability. Until that time comes, I have been blessed to be able to work with some amazing families.
Christine Nguyen seems to want to confirm that she’s no longer a full-time actress, a situation we’ve known for some time. Just a few days ago, we confirmed that Christine was in final negotiations to star in Cloak & Lipstick, a new comedy from Acting Legally Productions, now in pre-production. We don’t know if Christine’s comments will impact the film’s casting, as we don’t have definitive confirmation that she’s no longer an actress.
