Interview with actress and dancer Jaymie Schroeder

Today, a new exclusive interview for BMovieFilms with actress, model, dancer Jaymie Schroeder. We will soon the beautiful Jaymie starring in Orgy of the Dead 2″ the sequel from the classic horror, directed by Andrew J. Chambers.

Welcome on BmovieFilms, Jaymie. Do you mind introducing yourself to our readers?

My name is Jaymie Joleen Schroeder. I’m a feminist author, model, actress, dancer, & entrepreneur from Omaha, Nebraska.

Can you tell us how you started your career?

I got started with my acting career, after teaching & then my career in construction turning up as avenues that did not make me happy. They were also avenues that did not financially lead me anywhere outside of a check to check life. On a whim, I went to an audition for Orgy of the Dead II. My background provided me with a good foundation, I got some advice from my artist friends, & I landed a really solid role in the film! In my heels & trench coat on the way to my first audition ever a thirty-five, to be fully transparent with you I almost turned back around & got in the car to turn back home, because I was certain that I just wouldn’t have a chance of getting a part. Imposter syndrome is a little devil on everyone’s shoulder, okay… It is never too late to try something new. A year & a half later here I am a full time independent model, dancer, actress, & writer.

“Orgy of the Dead 2” is your first main feature. What can you tell us about this project?

This project is full of the best talent there is out there! I’m so proud to have worked with these individuals! I’m hoping for a trilogy! Film incorporates the art form dance, also incorporates comedy. Why not?! Because, actors & actresses are a lot of times multi-faceted people. We are skilled people, why not showcase all of our skills. I think dance as an art form is not valued enough, particularly the art of dancing erotically. I think the original film, & its purpose, may have been just that anyways. They were going to the graveyard to find inspiration, they found it! & here we are sixty years later still eating that up! I hope that HojBob Production’s sequel to that provides more opportunities for showcasing erotic dance talent. Or, a trilogy!

Can you tell us a funny behind the scenes of  “Orgy of the Dead 2”?

At one point, I got to be sprayed with red blood! I also got some of that artificial red blood in my contact lense, & in my scenes if you see a red eye… Well, it was not “special effects,” Special FX were not used in the discoloration of my eye, lol, it was hard core devotion, totally awesome, & I can’t wait for you to see how all out we all went on this project! Shout out to Andrew J Chambers, & HojBob Productions for giving newcomers with talent an opportunity when  you already had some pros on this project! @ some point, someone has to give us newcomers a chance. A lot of times people are too scared to take risks & do that. Andrew is not one of those people, & I look forward to continuing to see his films & work with him on some more. I hope that we can do another one of these Orgy of the Dead films to be honest with you!! It was a lot of fun from the performer aspect, & dance is an art form that I wish everyone got to see from dancers such as myself a lot more! It was an opportunity we all appreciated, as dance performers! My main source of income is dance, & I hope more filmmakers get to catch onto the beautiful art forms that come with combining dance & film!

How was it like working with the director, Andrew J. Chambers?

Humor is another form of art on this one!!

Andrew is awesome!!

You can tell by his movies, he’s a cool dude! He is also kind, fair, fun, & funny! He is also neat & unique in that it is really a family affair for him! This is his life, this is what he does, he does other things too! But, this is a huge part of who he is, & who is family is if that makes sense? Wonderful people, talented people, good people! & they work on projects all of the time! They smashed a car to bits on this project, & they also made sure everyone was safe. Everyone had: food, water, rides, hospitality! You would be lucky to work with Andrew, & HojBob Productions!

Your next project is “The Devil’s Dancers”. Some details?

Yas!!!! Oh my goodness, &, here we are… More filmmakers incorporating the art forms of dance in their film, heavily! Because, guess what?! Dance is a skill! I’m a full time dancer, @ a night club! I’m a stripper! & that doesn’t mean I don’t have an education, which is unfortunately many of times the assumption from my perspective. I have three degrees. I have two bachelor’s degrees in art & in English education. But, as a night club dancer I’m better able to take care of myself financially. I am also less stressed. I’m in far better shape! I work less! I will literally live longer; I am sure of it! But, as dancers, we do work hard. We are skilled, & I feel lucky that I get to watch my colleagues every night, because we are very talented! You literally get to see that with this movie! Kord Productions out of Florida came to Nebraska & we shot The Devil’s Dancers with Nebraska night club dance entertainers @ Strippers United USA Studios.

You started your actress career with an horror movie. You want to work on other genres? Which?

I am currently writing my own screenplay for a film about my life. I’ve written a poetry book that is available on Amazon, it’s called Unearthed. Unearthed has been successful enoughthat I know it’s time for the next step. I need to show the world, what women go through. I need to show the world the same things that HojBob & Kord are doing too, & that is the value & beauty of dance as an art form. Also, the value & beauty of women. Also, the value & beauty of women’s bodies. Topless dancing was crazy back in the sixties, but, life is too short. Let’s have a little fun! Also, let’s showcase, our skills! Again, thanks to the filmmakers out there providing these opportunities to performers. We deserve opportunities. We are not valued enough!

How do you judge this phase of your career, and what do you expect for the near future?

I view this stage of my career as cultivating my new life as Royal. Recently, I went full time with my career in acting & dance! I also model! Please follow me on instagram @ RedddRoyal, although my IMDB on Orgy if the Dead shows me under my government name, this is my new name. This is my new life as a full time entertainer. I changed my number, I changed my instagram, I changed my career. I became Royal the full time actress, dancer, & model! I don’t know if art imitated life, or life imitated art here but I’m dancing & acting full time & I couldn’t be happier with my new life as Royal.

A dream of yours that you would like to make come true?

My own screenwrite. Can you guess what it’s called?!
